Finland issues ultimatum to Russia

Russia should go through political changes to restore relations between Moscow and Helsinki.

Finnish diplomat and the country's minister Jaakko Iloniemi made such a demand in an interview with MTV3 TV channel.

"There are no obstacles to restoring relations, but this requires serious political changes in Russia," he emphasised, adding that the current Russian-Finnish relations are in "the worst state in decades".

According to Iloniemi, this state of affairs is "the result of Russia's actions" and Finland did not seek it.
