Fire in Iranian oil refinery leaves one dead, several injured

A fire at the Pars Petro Shushtar refinery in Iran's southwestern Khuzestan province has claimed the life of at least one person, with several others injured.

Local authorities, including the governor of Shushtar, confirmed that the fire is now under control, though firefighters and rescue workers remain on high alert at the scene, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.

The cause of the blaze is believed to be a tanker collision with gasoline tanks, and an investigation is underway to determine the full circumstances of the incident.

This tragic event adds to the growing list of industrial accidents in Iran, raising concerns about safety measures in the country's energy sector.
