Georgian FM begins first official visit to Israel
Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Bochorishvili, is undertaking her first official visit to Israel from November 17 to 18.
During her stay, Bochorishvili is scheduled to meet her Israeli counterpart, Gideon Saar, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.
She will also hold talks with the Speaker of the Knesset, Amir Ohana, the Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, and the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Avi Dichter.
The itinerary includes a visit to the Jerusalem Patriarchate, where Bochorishvili will meet His Beatitude Theophilos III, the Patriarch of Jerusalem.
Georgia and Israel established diplomatic relations on June 1, 1992.
Since then, the two countries have maintained a continuous political dialogue and cooperate across trade, economic development, culture, education, and tourism.
