FM: 100 countries express readiness to help Türkiye PHOTO

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has said that 100 countries expressed readiness to render support to Türkiye amid the consequences of two devastating earthquakes with an epicentre in Kahramanmaras province.

Cavusoglu made these remarks at a joint press conference with his Bosnian counterpart Elmedin Konakovic in Ankara, according to Anadolu Agency.

He added that 76 countries have already sent search and rescue teams to Türkiye, while two more countries are preparing to send specialists to the earthquake-hit provinces.

“I would like to thank each of these countries,” the Turkish minister noted.

Cavusoglu noted that rescuers from 12 countries have already completed their mission in Türkiye and returned to their countries.
