FM: Russia working on convening second 3+3 format meeting
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that the work is underway to organise the second meeting in the 3+3 format (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia - Russia, Türkiye, Iran).
Lavrov made these remarks at a bilateral meeting with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan, Report’s Russian bureau informs.
“The West is already actively working to undermine this format, which has just begun to take shape, by trying to impose its services on the three countries in the region,” Lavrov said.
The Russian foreign minister noted that a new date for the trilateral meeting among the foreign ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia will be discussed soon.
“As for a new date for the trilateral meeting among the foreign ministers of Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan dedicated to a peace treaty, we talked about this today,” the Russian minister said.
“Our Armenian colleagues confirmed Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement made at a recent press conference that Armenia is ready to host such a meeting. I think that we will see soon which dates are convenient for all three ministers,” he said.
