Gaza claims Israeli military destroyed nearly 400 mosques

Nearly 400 mosques were completely or partially destroyed following the Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip. Such data was cited by the media department in the enclave, TASS reports.

"The Israeli military has completely ruined 140 mosques, 240 - partially, three Christian churches were also affected," the report said.

The agency noted that the Israeli shelling affected architectural objects built more than a thousand years ago. These actions are considered a violation of international humanitarian law. Gaza called on the international community for urgent intervention.
