Georgia announces plans for economic rapprochement with China
Georgia should use every opportunity to deepen economic relations with China.
“We must use every opportunity to further deepen our relations with China. We must get even closer to it economically, in terms of trade relations. We must withdraw even more investments from there,” Secretary General of the ruling Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia party, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said, TASS reports.
The politician added that all this should be used for the benefit of Georgia, as well as for the development of the economy and the creation of new jobs.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said on September 11 that the republic had decided to abolish the visa regime with China. Tourists from China will be able to stay in Georgia for tourism purposes for 30 days. Georgia and China announced the establishment of a bilateral strategic partnership at the end of July.
