Georgia and Kazakhstan will sign a joint declaration on a strategic partnership during Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze's visit to Astana, marking a new stage in bilateral relations, Georgia's foreign minister said on Monday (June 29).
Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili said the declaration would formalise the close cooperation the two countries have built over many years and elevate ties to a higher level, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
"Today, as part of the Prime Minister's visit to Kazakhstan, a joint declaration on a strategic partnership will be signed.
This will be a logical continuation of the close cooperation that has existed between our two countries for many years and, at the same time, will elevate our relations to a new level," Bochorishvili wrote on Facebook.
