Georgian authorities claim Polish doctors tried to steal Saakashvili's tests
The Georgian Justice Ministry has reported an "incomprehensible incident" during a visit to former President Mikheil Saakashvili by Polish doctors.
Caliber.Az reports citing Georgian media that one of them tried to take out a prisoner's analysis in his shoes. The Justice Ministry noted that the doctors were allowed to get the patient's analyses officially.
"We urge everyone to refrain from provocative and illegal actions. Based on the fact that the Polish Embassy was engaged in the process of involving doctors, I ask the Georgian Foreign Minister to listen to the Embassy's position on the mentioned incident," the Justice Ministry said in a Facebook comment.
The director of the Vivamed clinic, where Mr. Saakashvili is being treated, Zurab Chkhaidze, told journalists that Polish doctors had received all the necessary information about the former president's condition. They agreed, according to Mr. Chkhaidze's version, that the metal content in Mr. Saakashvili's body was normal. "We showed them these results and they agreed that, according to these data, the indicators are normal," Mr Chkhaidze said.
