Hero of Ukraine, well-known tycoon dies during Mykolayiv’s shelling
Hero of Ukraine and well-known businessman Oleksii Vadatursky and his wife died during the shelling of Mykolayiv city by the Russian troops on July 31 morning.
Details of the tragedy are still unknown.
Vadatursky was the owner of Ukraine’s biggest “Nibulon” grain trading company, UNIAN reports referring to a source in Mykolayiv city council.
He was born in Bendzary village (Odesa region) on September 8, 1947. Vadatursky was a Ukrainian agro-entrepreneur, Hero of Ukraine, Director General of the "Nibulon" agricultural enterprise and Vice-President of the Ukrainian Grain Association since February 2005.
Forbes estimated the businessman's fortune at $430 million in 2021, ranking him 24 in the TOP 100 richest people of Ukraine.
Russian troops shelled Mykolayiv on July 31 morning. Powerful explosions were heard after 24:00 (GMT+3) and at around 5:00 (GMT+3) morning causing serious damage.
