Hraparak: Armenia's largest company pays not only PM Pashinyan but also his spouse
"Zangazur Copper-Molybdenum Combine, in fact, pays not only to Nikol Pashinyan's government, but also to his wife Anna Hakobyan," Yerevan-based Hraparak newspaper wrote.
"Let us remind you that ZCMC 'voluntarily' transferred 21.9% of its shares to the Armenian government, which the government at first entrusted to the Armenian National Interest Fund (ANIF), the chairman of the Board of Directors of which is Yerevan Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan, and in December 2022 the manager changed: the government transferred 21.9% of Zangezour Copper and Molybdenum Combine to the State Property Management Committee," Caliber.Az reports citing the newspaper.
ZCMC Charitable Foundation transferred a big sum of 27 million drams, about $70 thousand to Anna Hakobyan's 'My Step' Foundation. It should be noted that ZCMC was the leader in the list of 1000 largest tax payers in Armenia according to the results of 2022, however in the first quarter of 2023 it was the second, giving its place to 'Gazprom Armenia' CJSC. Gazprom Armenia paid about 20 billion drams, while ZCMC paid 15 billion drams. In the same period of 2022, ZCMC has paid 35,5 billion drams to the Armenian budget, i.e., the things at the combine have clearly started to go worse, however it continues to pay diligently to Anna Hakobyan's Foundation," the newspaper writes.
