ICOMOS President: World cultural heritage faces number of challenges

International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) President Teresa Patricio thanks Azerbaijan for holding an international event titled "Strengthening the skills of world heritage professionals”.

Addressing the event via a video, Patricio underlined that the world's cultural heritage is facing a number of challenges and difficulties at the present time, Report writes.

"A number of changes are taking place in the world. These changes do not bypass cultural heritage either. The international event that is currently taking place in Baku will help us cope with these challenges. I thank Azerbaijan for hosting such an important event," she added.
