IEA hosts high-level dialogue on energy transition ahead of COP29 PHOTO
The International Energy Agency (IEA) headquarters in Paris is currently hosting a conference titled "COP29-IEA High-Level Energy Transition Dialogue" on the upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
According to AZERTAC, the event brought together key ministers of various countries, the presidents of COP26, COP27, COP28, and COP29, along with leaders of international organizations and ambassadors from several nations accredited in France.
Prominent speakers at the conference include Azerbaijan's Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Mukhtar Babayev, who has been appointed president of COP29. He, along with other ministers and COP presidents, will share their insights and perspectives on the global energy transition.
This high-level dialogue aims to facilitate discussions and collaborations that will drive the energy transition agenda forward, addressing climate change challenges and fostering international cooperation in the lead-up to COP29.
