Indonesian embassy in Baku marks 79th Independence Day With flag-raising ceremony

The Indonesian Embassy in Baku celebrated the 79th anniversary of Indonesia's Independence Day with a flag-raising ceremony, reflecting the theme of “New Indonesia” and emphasizing sustainable development and equality.

The event brought together Indonesia’s Charge d'affaires to Azerbaijan Merita Yenni, embassy staff, and Indonesian citizens residing in Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The ceremony featured the singing of Indonesia’s national anthem, Indonesia Raya, performed by the country’s students in Azerbaijan.

Following the flag-raising, the celebration included awards for winners of traditional Indonesian games held in July 2024, such as table tennis and races.
