Azerbaijani, Armenian top diplomats discuss confidence-building steps after Washington summit
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan held a telephone conversation on August 12, focusing on regional dynamics and the ongoing peace process between the two countries.
The two ministers discussed the implementation of the joint declaration signed during the recent summit in Washington, which aimed to advance normalization efforts between Baku and Yerevan, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.
A key topic of the conversation was the importance of confidence-building measures to foster trust and reduce tensions. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining direct and constructive dialogue, viewing it as essential for achieving sustainable peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
