Azerbaijan has sent another significant batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, aimed at supporting the restoration of critical infrastructure in regions affected by the ongoing conflict.
The latest shipment, dispatched from the Sumgayit Technologies Park, includes vital electrical equipment essential for reestablishing power supply, Caliber.Az reports.
The Ministry of Energy coordinated the delivery, following an order issued by President Ilham Aliyev on August 11. The humanitarian cargo comprises approximately 90,000 metres of electrical cable, alongside 25 generators and seven transformer sets. This equipment was transported via ten trucks, marking a substantial contribution to Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts.
Azerbaijan plans to send an additional aid shipment valued at $2 million in the coming days, underscoring its ongoing commitment to humanitarian assistance. To date, the total value of aid provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine—including support for infrastructure restoration and broader reconstruction projects—has surpassed $44 million.
