International delegates get acquainted with reconstruction work in Shusha PHOTO/UPDATED
Delegates of the international conference titled "Uniting Efforts and Enhancing Cooperation for Addressing the Issue of Missing Persons", held within the framework of the Baku Dialogue, have arrived to liberated Shusha.
As part of the visit, participants were briefed on the ongoing reconstruction and construction efforts in the area, including key development projects aimed at revitalising the region, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The itinerary also includes a visit to the Shusha prison, a site where Azerbaijani prisoners and hostages were detained and tortured during the occupation by Armenian forces. The prison has become a symbol of the suffering endured during the conflict.

As part of the ongoing Baku Dialogue on Missing Persons, participants of the international conference titled “Uniting Efforts and Enhancing Cooperation for Addressing the Issue of Missing Persons” visited the Aghdara district to observe crucial demining operations near a recently discovered mass grave.
The delegation was briefed on the presence of mines laid by Armenian armed forces during their occupation, as well as details about the mass grave site, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The grave, located on a hill that previously served as a combat position in the village of Balligaya, contains the remains of more than ten Azerbaijani servicemen.
Following the visit to Aghdara, the conference participants are scheduled to tour the historic city of Shusha later in the day. Tomorrow, on October 11, the delegation will continue their visits to the districts of Jabrayil and Zangilan.
