Iran again stands up for Armenia saying "borders cannot be changed" PHOTO

Iranian Ambassador in Yerevan Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri has reiterated his anti-Azerbaijani stance.

The diplomat said that the internationally recognized borders of Armenia "cannot be changed" and that all countries should "respect Armenia's sovereignty," Oxu.Az reports quoting the Telegram channel "Azad Iran".

"We do not accept the idea of opening corridors around communication routes (Zangazur corridor - ed.) and believe that Armenia must protect its territorial integrity," he said.

However, the ambassador could not comment on the fact that the Zangazur region in the recent past was the historical land of Azerbaijan. It seems that Tehran intends to replace the former patrons of Armenia which was defeated in the 44-day war.
