Iran confirms closure of seven schools in UAE, Kuwait
Iran has said that seven of its schools in the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait have been shut, with students moved to remote learning under alternative arrangements.
Iranian Education Ministry spokesperson Ali Farhadi said some pupils will continue their studies under the supervision of Iranian schools operating in Oman, while others will be taught online directly by schools based in Iran, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.
Farhadi criticised the decision by the UAE, which he said had resulted in the expulsion of around 2,500 Iranian students.
He added that, in coordination with Oman, arrangements had been made to allow affected students to continue their education there until the end of the academic year.
He said Iranian-run schools in countries including the UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia were currently operating online, with the academic year expected to conclude virtually across these institutions.
