06 March 2023 19:11
Iran is developing a new unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) based on the Qaher-313 fighter.
According to TASS, this was announced on March 6 by the Minister of Defence of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Reza Ashtiani.
“Our defence industry is working on a UAV project based on the Qaher-313 fighter. At the moment, we are waiting for the completion of the creation of a prototype, after which its testing will begin," Tasnim quoted the Minister of Defence as saying.
The Qaher-313 is an Iranian single-seat fighter, introduced in 2013, whose key features are stealth to enemy radar and the ability to maneuver at low altitude. The aircraft is designed for a payload of two 910 kg bombs, or several guided missiles, or six air-to-air missiles.
