Iran launches missile strikes on Israeli military targets
Iran has conducted missile strikes targeting multiple Israeli military installations, including the Nevatim and Hatzerim airbases.
The strikes were carried out as part of the 17th phase of Operation True Promise 3, focusing on critical military complexes, defence industry facilities, and command and control centers across the so-called “occupied territories,” including key cities such as Be'er Sheva, Tel Aviv, and Haifa, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
An IRGC spokesperson underscored that Iran’s offensive ballistic missile capabilities will continue to be strengthened until the “criminal regime” in Israel faces what he described as appropriate retribution.
Earlier today, Iran launched a fresh wave of missile attacks targeting southern Israel, with Iranian state media reporting that Israel’s Nevatim Air Base in the Negev Desert was among the primary targets.
In response, the Israeli military announced that over 60 fighter jets executed overnight airstrikes deep within Tehran, deploying approximately 120 munitions against key military installations. Among the targeted sites was the headquarters of Iran’s Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research (SPND), a facility reportedly dedicated to the development of advanced weapons systems and military technologies. Additionally, Israeli defence forces intercepted four drones launched from Iran toward Israeli territory.
The current hostilities erupted on June 13 when Israel initiated airstrikes on multiple locations across Iran, striking both military and nuclear sites. These operations prompted retaliatory missile launches from Tehran against Israeli territory.
According to Israeli officials, Iranian missile attacks have resulted in at least 25 fatalities and hundreds of injuries within Israel. Conversely, Iranian media reports indicate that Israeli strikes have caused 639 deaths and left over 1,300 wounded across Iran, underscoring the severe toll on both sides amid the intensifying conflict.
