Iran's army spokesperson: US bases “vulnerable” amid expanded drone сapabilities
Iran has claimed it has “easy access to American positions,” warning that US military bases in the region are highly vulnerable amid growing tensions.
Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, spokesperson for the Iranian Army, made the statement while discussing the integration of 1,000 strategic drones into the operational structure of Iran’s four military branches, saying the move reflects the armed forces’ full readiness to defend the country, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.
He emphasised, “In addition to drones, other defensive systems have been upgraded and are fully operational,” and stressed that Iran is prepared for both diplomacy and conflict.
The spokesperson warned that any military action could spread across the region, including US bases in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
“We have easy access to US bases, and this increases their vulnerability,” Akraminia said, reiterating Iran’s readiness to defend its sovereignty.
He also highlighted the choices facing Washington, stating, “US leadership must decide between compromise and war, while Iran’s military preparedness covers both possibilities.”
