Iranian aerial attacks on UAE leave three dead, over 100 injured
The United Arab Emirates said its air defence systems intercepted multiple Iranian aerial threats on March 6, shooting down nine ballistic missiles and the majority of the drones launched toward the country.
In a statement posted on X and cited by Caliber.Az, the UAE Ministry of Defence said air defences detected 112 unmanned aerial vehicles during the latest attack. Of those, 109 drones were destroyed, while three fell on the country’s territory.

The ministry also released cumulative data covering the period since the start of intensified Iranian attacks. According to the statement, a total of 205 ballistic missiles have been recorded, with 190 intercepted, 13 falling into the sea, and two landing on UAE territory.
During the same period, authorities documented 1,184 drones. Air defence systems intercepted 1,110 of them, while 74 fell within the country. The ministry also reported that eight cruise missiles had been destroyed.
According to official figures, the attacks have resulted in three fatalities — citizens of Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh. In addition, 112 people sustained minor injuries. Those injured include residents of the UAE as well as citizens of Egypt, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, and Bahrain.
The UAE Ministry of Defense said the country’s armed forces remain on full combat readiness to counter any threats and respond decisively to attempts to undermine national security. The ministry stressed that protecting the country’s sovereignty, maintaining stability, and safeguarding national interests remain the UAE’s top priorities.
