Is Prigozhin dead? Kremlin breaks silence

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has urged the public to wait for the official results of the genetic examination of the remains recovered from the plane of businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin, Gazeta.ru reported.

According to Peskov, so far the Kremlin has not received official confirmation of the death of the founder of PMC "Wagner", which is also evident in the comments of Russian President Vladimir Putin to reports about the crash of Prigozhin's plane in the Tver region.

Prior to that, Putin called Prigozhin a man of complex fate and a talented businessman.

On the evening of August 23, a private plane Embraer Legacy crashed near the village of Kuzhenkino in the Tver region. It was on a flight from Moscow to St. Petersburg.

Rosaviatsia said that businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin and Dmitry Utkin were among the passengers of the crashed aircraft.

An investigation into the plane crash in the Tver Region has been launched.
