Turkish intelligence cracks down on Mossad network PHOTO
Türkiye’s National Intelligence Organisation (MİT) has arrested lawyer Tuğrulhan Dip, accused of selling information to detectives spying for the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad.
The arrests followed coordinated operations involving MİT, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, and the Istanbul Police Department targeting Mossad operatives in Türkiye, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
Investigations revealed that Dip had collaborated with Mossad agent Serkan Çiçek, who was previously apprehended by MİT and detained by Istanbul police.
Dip is reported to have worked not only with Çiçek but also with several other detectives accused of spying for Mossad. Among them was Musa Kuş, who was arrested and sentenced to 19 years in prison for espionage on behalf of Israel.
Authorities allege that Dip facilitated the acquisition of personal data for the detectives in exchange for financial gain and sold the information through a network he established.
Investigators further determined that the intelligence gathered was passed on to Mossad and used for espionage activities within Türkiye.
