Israel signs deal with Boeing for 25 advanced F-15AI jets
The Israeli Defence Ministry has signed a contract with Boeing to purchase 25 advanced F-15AI fighter jets, which will be equipped with cutting-edge Israeli technologies.
The deal is valued at $5.2 billion, funded by US military aid. Deliveries of the jets are scheduled to begin in 2031, with the Israeli Air Force receiving 4 to 6 aircraft per year. The contract also includes an option for an additional order of 25 jets, Caliber.Az reports via Israeli media.
“These advantages will enable the Israeli Air Force to maintain its strategic superiority in addressing current and future challenges in the Middle East,” the ministry said in a statement.
“This F-15 squadron, alongside the third F-35 squadron procured earlier this year, represents a historic enhancement of our air power and strategic reach - capabilities that proved crucial during the current war,” Director General of the Israeli Defence Ministry Eyal Zamir said.
Earlier this year, Israel signed a contract to purchase a third squadron of F-35 fighter jets. Israel's Defence Ministry has officially signed an agreement with the US for the procurement of a third squadron of F-35 fighter jets. A delegation from the ministry finalised the $3 billion deal, which includes 25 advanced stealth aircraft manufactured by Lockheed Martin.
According to the ministry, deliveries of the jets are set to begin in 2028, with 3 to 5 aircraft arriving each year. This new acquisition will expand the Israeli Air Force's F-35I fleet to 75 jets in the coming years. To date, Israel has received 39 out of the original 50 F-35s it ordered. The deal is funded through US military aid to Israel, with a total value of approximately $3 billion.
