Israeli forces target over 140 Hamas sites in Gaza amid intensified offensive
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) struck more than 140 targets across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, as part of a renewed offensive aimed at dismantling Hamas infrastructure and eliminating militant operatives.
The aerial strikes targeted a wide range of assets, including tunnels, command centers, weapons caches, buildings used by terror groups, and Hamas-affiliated operatives, Caliber.Az reports, citing Israeli media.
In parallel with the air campaign, ground operations have intensified in Gaza City, where the IDF’s 98th, 36th, and 162nd divisions are actively engaged in destroying Hamas military infrastructure. The forces have reportedly uncovered and demolished tunnel networks, neutralized combatants, and located weapons stockpiles in densely built-up areas.
Artillery units have also been involved in the operation. The 282nd Artillery Regiment conducted coordinated strikes on approximately 35 sites in Gaza City, targeting buildings and locations associated with Hamas activities. These strikes were carried out in support of ground forces from the 36th Division operating in the area.
Elsewhere in northern Gaza, outside of Gaza City, the IDF reports that troops from the 99th Division engaged and killed several Hamas operatives who had attempted to approach Israeli positions.
Meanwhile, Gaza Health Ministry reported that 83 Palestinians were killed in the past 24 hours,
