A four-storey factory in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, was heavily damaged by a fire on August 28, authorities said, with the cause of the blaze still unknown.
The fire broke out at a facility in Yassıören neighbourhood on Bayındır Street, Sarıgazi Lane, which houses printing, paper, packaging, and recycling operations, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
Flames quickly spread from the ground floor to the upper levels, engulfing much of the building.
Firefighters, supported by teams from neighbouring districts, tackled the blaze from four points. Police cordoned off surrounding streets and alleys, while medical teams were on standby at the scene.
After roughly two hours of intense operations, the fire was brought under control. Factory workers observed the response from an open area nearby.
Authorities said cooling and inspection work continues, with the building having suffered extensive damage. Investigators are examining the site to determine the cause of the fire.
