Kazakhstan’s atomic company agrees uranium deals with Russia, China
Kazakhstan’s national atomic company Kazatomprom has reached agreements to supply natural uranium to partners in Russia and China, the company has said.
Kazatomprom has agreed with Uranium One Group, a subsidiary of Russia’s Rosatom, to supply uranium to the Siberian Chemical Combine, Caliber.Az reports, citing Kazakh media.
The draft contract has already been prepared and approved by both sides.
The company has also signed an export agreement with China’s State Nuclear Uranium Resource Development Company Limited (SNURDC), with Alashankou railway station designated as the delivery point.
The exact volumes, value and delivery schedule were not disclosed due to commercial confidentiality.
The agreements have been submitted to Kazatomprom’s shareholders’ meeting for consideration.
