Kazakhstan successfully tests upgraded Chagall-M drone PHOTO

The Kazakhstan Engineering NC joint-stock company has successfully conducted tests of the upgraded unmanned aerial vehicle Chagall-M.

The statement came from the Kazakh Industry and Infrastructure Development Ministry’s press service, Anadolu reports.

During the upgrade, the tactical and technical characteristics of the device were improved, namely: its speed, altitude and flight range.

The head of the Kazakhstan Engineering company’s management board, Temirzhan Abdrakhmanov, noted that the UAV has a wide application, it can be used to monitor oil pipelines, gas pipelines and power lines, instead of helicopter equipment to monitor the situation as part of search and rescue operations and as repeaters for communication and emergency management.

"The advantage is that the Chagall-M does not need a runway. The cost is cheaper than foreign analogues. Certificates – CT-KZ, an industrial certificate and a corresponding patent have been obtained for the sale of products," said Gani Bayseitov, a senior official from the Kazakhstan Engineering company, said.
