Kommersant: Oilfield service company Baker Hughes stops servicing Russian LNG projects
Baker Hughes, an international oilfield services company, is terminating all Russian LNG projects.
Kommersant writes about this, citing sources.
Thus, the company recalls service engineers from Gazprom’s Sakhalin-2 and Novatek’s Yamal LNG, as well as design engineers from the Arctic LNG-2 under construction — the launch of the first stage was scheduled for 2023.
“Concurrently, Baker Hughes is halting shipments for the latest equipment project, including gas turbines. The timing of the completion of the construction of the first line of the Arctic LNG-2 directly depends on these deliveries, the article says.
The newspaper notes that Baker Hughes is terminating agreements, despite the fact that there are no direct sanctions restrictions under existing contracts for the service and supply of turbines.
