Kyrgyz, US top officials discuss conflict with Tajikistan

Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken discussed the border conflict between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, in a meeting in New York on September 22.

During the conversation, Kulubaev spoke about the events that took place on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, Vestnik Kavkaza reported on September 23.

In turn, Blinken expressed deep concern over the situation on the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, and stated the importance of achieving peace and stability through diplomatic efforts.

The two sides also discussed the strengthening of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the USA both within the framework of the bilateral agenda and at regional platforms, including Central Asia + the United States.
