Latvian president pays tribute to Azerbaijan’s National Leader Heydar Aliyev

Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan, paid tribute on April 22 to Azerbaijan’s National Leader Heydar Aliyev at the Alley of Honour, laying a wreath at his grave.

The memory of renowned ophthalmologist and academic Zarifa Aliyeva was also honoured, with flowers laid at her grave. Rinkēvičs likewise placed flowers on the graves of prominent statesman Aziz Aliyev and well-known Professor Tamerlan Aliyev, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The visit forms part of the Latvian president’s official program in Azerbaijan.
