The presidency also detailed further diplomatic engagement involving Donald Trump, who held a call with Lebanon’s ambassador to the United States, Nada Mouawad.
According to the statement, Trump informed the ambassador that he had secured the agreement of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the proposed plan. Mouawad relayed the outcome of the discussions to Aoun, who in turn informed Hezbollah.
