Letter from SpaceX employees condemns Elon Musk's behavior
A letter was written condemning the behavior of SpaceX CEO Elon Musk on social media. It turned out that company employees were harshly critical of Musk's public actions.
According to the news in The Verge, the letter encouraging company employees to sign was sent to SpaceX COO Gwynne Shotwell, TRT Haber reports.
It is not yet known how many employees signed it, but it sparked an internal reaction with hundreds of replies and many employees confirming the message.
The letter, reviewed by The Verge , describes how Musk's actions and recent sexual harassment allegations against him have negatively impacted SpaceX's reputation.
The document claims that “workers across the spectrum of gender, ethnicity, seniority and technical roles collaborated” at the time of writing the letter.
It is unknown which SpaceX employees wrote the letter; Employees who sent the letter to the internal chat system did not respond to requests for comment.
"Elon's behavior is embarrassing"
"Elon's behavior in public is a source of frequent distraction and embarrassment for us, especially in recent weeks," the letter states.
“As our CEO and most prominent spokesperson, Elon is seen as the face of SpaceX. Every Tweet Elon posts is a de facto public statement of the company. It is critical to make it clear to our teams and potential talent pool that his messages do not reflect our business, mission or values. "
SpaceX COO Gwynne Shotwell backed Musk in a company-wide email. Thinking that the accusations are wrong, Shotwell stated that Musk's statements reflect his individual opinions.
