Loitering drones attempt to attack Russian customs points
Loitering unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have attempted to attack customs points in Russia’s Belgorod region.
Loitering UAVs are drones that can fly for a long time. In total, three such drones, launched from Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, attempted to attack, Mash reports on Telegram.
“The first two exploded and damaged a cell phone tower on the territory near the International Automobile Border Checkpoint Nekhoteevka, 500 metres from the border. Another one exploded in a field near the Shebekino customs checkpoint, 1,800 metres from Ukraine,” the statement says.
No one was injured as a result of the incident.
Meanwhile, Head of the Russian Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov said that the West has turned Ukraine into a training ground for terrorists and mercenaries from various countries.
Bortnikov added that there are 17 militant training camps for Ukraine in the EU countries, Gazeta.ru reports.
