London hosts presentation of “Treasures of the World - Azerbaijan” film
The presentation of the film "Treasures of the World - Azerbaijan" was held in London.
According to APA, the "Treasures of the World - Azerbaijan" film screening at BAFTA (The British Academy of Film and Television Arts) was timed to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Great Britain.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to the UK Elin Suleymanov, British Prime Minister's Trade Envoy Baroness Emma Nicholson, member of the House of Lords David Evans, ambassadors of Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and Georgia to London, and members of the Azerbaijani community in the UK participated in the event.
Speaking at the event Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the UK Elin Suleymanov thanked the Azerbaijani community and appreciated the work done over the past years. He emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and Great Britain have been developing at a high level. The ambassador also talked of the inestimable role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in Azerbaijan's development.
It should be noted that the film, made by historian, writer, presenter, and author of the script of the popular series of documentary films "Treasures of the World" Professor Bettany Hughes, was shown in many international media and on television, including "BBC World News".
The film, which highlights the fascinating and mysterious history and cultural treasures of Baku, as well as the cities of Shusha, Gobustan, and Shaki, aims to promote the rich cultural heritage of Azerbaijan on an international scale.
