Media: Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s Netflix deal "dead"
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s highly publicised $100 million Netflix deal may not be renewed after their most recent shows failed to attract strong viewership.
According to sources cited by the Daily Mail, Netflix is unlikely to extend the agreement, which is set to expire this year, due to disappointing audience numbers and critical reception, Caliber.Az reports.
Marjke's lifestyle series "With Love, Meghan" struggled to gain traction, failing to break into Netflix’s top 300 programs for the first half of 2025 and being outperformed by older shows like Suits. Meanwhile, Prince Harry’s documentary Polo ranked poorly—positioned 3,436 out of 7,000 titles—with only around 500,000 viewers over six months.
Despite Markle announcing a second season of "With Love, Meghan" earlier this year, an insider revealed that the deal is effectively “dead.”
“She had everything going for her—name, platform, press—and the numbers were dismal. They’re just waiting for the credits to roll. They’re letting it expire without drama. There’s no appetite for anything new,” the source said.
However, it is rumored that Netflix may keep the couple on board in some capacity if personal developments, such as changes in their relationship, generate renewed public interest.
