Media: Pakistan thwarts Indian terror plot in Balochistan PHOTO
The intelligence agency of India, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), has activated its agents in Pakistan's Balochistan province to fuel violence and terrorism, according to sources in Pakistan’s security sector.
The move is said to follow the failure of a previous false-flag operation in Pahalgam, with RAW allegedly seeking to destabilise Pakistan by targeting the southwestern region, Caliber.Az reports, citing Pakistani news outlet 24 Digital.
Sources with access to sensitive security information revealed that RAW is now utilising local insurgent groups, including the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and Fitna-ul-Hawarij, alongside Afghan nationals who are operating illegally in the region. These groups have been linked to recent violent incidents in key areas such as Gwadar, Quetta, and Khuzdar, known for their strategic importance in Balochistan.
According to intelligence reports, some terrorists involved in these attacks were provided opportunities to carry out reconnaissance of target sites before their operations. Additionally, it has been confirmed that these groups have been using vehicles and motorcycles as part of their modus operandi to evade detection and amplify the impact of their attacks.
Pakistan’s security agencies have intensified efforts to combat the surge of terrorist activity. Law enforcement forces have been placed on high alert as they work to foil RAW’s alleged covert operation in the region and prevent further bloodshed.
