Moldova asks for withdrawal of Russian military from Transnistria

Moldova, through the UN, calls for the withdrawal of the Russian military from the territory of Transnistria for a peaceful solution to the conflict. This was stated by Prime Minister of Moldova Natalia Gavrilitsa, RIA Novosti reports.
“Moldova is using the UN platform to ask for the withdrawal of the Russian military from the Transnistrian territory and draw attention to the violation of human rights in the region, which is controlled by the unrecognized regime,” she said.
According to her, in this way Chisinau wants to find a peaceful solution to the conflict.
The Prime Minister of Moldova noted that the presence of these topics in the UN resolutions keeps the problem of the Transnistrian conflict on the agenda of the world community.
