Moroccan photographer’s exhibition about Africa opens in Azerbaijan PHOTO
The "African Soul" exhibition by famous Moroccan photographer Mohamed Tazi has opened in Azerbaijan’s Baku city.
The event was co-organized by the Moroccan Embassy in Azerbaijan, Report informs.
“This exhibition symbolizes the cooperation developing between Azerbaijan and Morocco,” Ambassador of Morocco to Azerbaijan Mohamed Adil Embarch said at the opening ceremony.
“As is known, Africa Day is celebrated all over the world today. We would like to contribute to its popularity. Photographer Mohamed Tazi demonstrated the most beautiful and unique works about this continent,” the ambassador said.
Tazi, in turn, said that he was glad to present his works in Baku.
“It is an honour for me to be here, in Azerbaijan, which beauty impresses me,” he added.
The exhibition will run until June 5, 2022.
Africa Day is celebrated annually on May 25 by the countries of the African Union upon the UN decision.
