Moscow vows to respond to Russian diplomats' expulsion from Sweden

The Russian Foreign Ministry has said that the country will give the necessary answer to the expulsion of five Russian diplomats from Sweden.

"As previously stated by the Russian side, Russia will respond accordingly," Gazeta.ru reports, citing the diplomatic office.

Previously, Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billstrom told STV channel that Sweden was expelling five Russian diplomats.

He noted that Sweden summoned Russian ambassador Viktor Tatarintsev and informed him that the five embassy employees had been asked to leave the country because "their activities are incompatible with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations".
