Armenia shortens compulsory military service to 18 months

Armenia will reduce the duration of compulsory military service, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

The term of service will now be cut from two years to one and a half years, effective January 1, 2026, instead of the previously planned start date of June 1.
