Ukrainian drones target Russian military airfield near Maykop PHOTO/VIDEO

Ukrainian drones launched an attack on the Russian military airfield Khanskaya, located near the city of Maykop in southern Russia.

The strike occurred late on the night of December 28, with a video surfacing online that shows the sounds of gunfire and explosions emanating from the scene. Journalists from ASTRA were able to geolocate one of the recordings.

Their analysis suggests that the shooting originated from a location roughly 6.5 kilometres away from the airfield. At this time, there is no confirmation as to whether the airfield itself sustained any direct hits.
