Russian president, Saudi сrown prince eye Mideast war in phone call

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, the Kremlin said.

The leaders expressed deep concern over the worsening military and political situation in the Middle East and its implications for global energy security, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.

According to the Kremlin, both Putin and the Crown Prince emphasised the need for an immediate cessation of hostilities in the region. They also highlighted the role of OPEC+ in efforts to stabilise oil markets amid the ongoing crisis.

The two leaders reaffirmed their satisfaction with the strong level of bilateral cooperation between Russia and Saudi Arabia.
