Iranian military signals full readiness, vows harsh response against threats
Iran’s senior military authorities have reaffirmed their complete readiness to protect the country, warning that any renewed hostile actions by adversaries will provoke a far stronger and more destructive response than in previous incidents.
These statements were released on Monday in observance of the Dey 9 Epic, which marks the anniversary of the 2009 nationwide rallies supporting Iran’s Islamic system, held on the 9th day of the Persian month of Dey, Caliber.Az reports per Iranian media.
In a detailed declaration, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran commemorated the Dey 9 events, describing them as a clear expression of public vigilance, national unity, and loyalty to the Islamic Republic.
The statement highlighted that the Iranian people successfully countered complex schemes orchestrated by foreign adversaries and their domestic collaborators, demonstrating the resilience and effectiveness of the country’s political structure during critical moments.
The General Staff underscored that continued pressures—including sanctions, media campaigns, and psychological operations—would not weaken Iran.
It emphasised that, under the leadership of the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Iranian people will persistently resist external pressures with determination and resolve.
The statement reassured citizens that the Armed Forces remain fully prepared to defend national security and warned that any future misjudgment by enemies would trigger an even more forceful, overwhelming, and costly retaliation.
In a separate announcement, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army issued a similar statement, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Army pointed out that after facing failures in direct confrontations, adversaries have increasingly turned to psychological and cognitive tactics aimed at sowing division and despair. It stressed that unity around national leadership continues to be the most effective safeguard against such attempts.
