National wrestler wins first fight in US under Azerbaijani flag

Azerbaijani mixed martial arts fighter Rafael Fiziyev has started his next fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

The 29-year-old athlete representing Azerbaijan met Brazilian Rafael Dos Anjos for the first time in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, according to Report.

Fiziyev knocked out his opponent in the last, fifth round of the UFC Vegas 58 tournament. It was his sixth consecutive victory in the UFC.

"Now we have to find out who is the best Rafa in this sport. Rafael Nadal, I can beat him," the experienced wrestler said after the match.

It should be noted that another Azerbaijani MMA fighter Nariman Abbasov will hold his first fight in the UFC on September 6 against Brazilian Ismael Bonfim.
