Netanyahu vows to make Iran pay after missile strikes on Israeli hospital, civilians
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that Iran will face severe consequences following missile attacks that struck a hospital and civilian areas in Israel.
Speaking after the strikes, Netanyahu accused Tehran of targeting innocent people and critical infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports.
“The terrorist tyrants of Iran fired rockets at Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva and at civilians in central Israel. We will make the tyrants in Tehran pay the full price,” the Israeli leader said.
The attack also drew strong condemnation from President Isaac Herzog, who addressed the Iranian strike on Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva — a major medical institution in southern Israel.
Describing the human cost, Herzog said: “A child in intensive care and his worried mother by his bedside, a devoted doctor moving from patient to patient, an elderly woman – all of them were Iran’s targets.”
Highlighting the hospital’s vital role, Herzog noted: “Soroka is one of the best hospitals in Israel. It serves the entire Negev region, treating Israelis of all faiths as well as Palestinians who specifically come there for medical care.”
He also emphasised the unity and dedication of the hospital’s staff. “The devoted personnel—Jews and Arabs — work side by side in an atmosphere of exceptional harmony, united by a common mission: to save lives,” Herzog said.
“In moments like these,” he concluded, “we are especially aware of what is at stake and the values we are duty-bound to protect.”
