New water reservoir nearing completion in Shusha
As instructed by President Ilham Aliyev, intensive work is being carried out to ensure an uninterrupted and reliable water supply to the city of Shusha.
The new water supply and sewerage system of the city is designed for 25,000 people, 3 reservoirs with a capacity of 6,000 cubic meters are being built, which will receive water from the Kichik Kirs, Zarisli, and Zarislichay rivers, Spokesman for Azarsu water company Anar Jabrayilli told Caliber.Az.
The construction of the first reservoir is almost completed, water lines are being laid to it, insulation work is underway, auxiliary buildings are being built, and the reservoir will be put into operation by the end of the year.
According to the project, Shusha will have 24 kilometers of main water pipelines, 44 kilometers of drinking water pipelines, 42 kilometers of a sewer network, and 41 kilometers of a storm sewer network. It is planned to build a water treatment plant with a capacity of 8,000 cubic meters per day.
A water distribution reservoir with a capacity of 25,000 cubic meters, a pumping station, and a high-pressure water pipeline with a length of 2.9 km have already been built.
