Newsru.co.il: Israeli strike on Damascus airport kills four foreigners
The London-based monitoring group, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), has reported that four foreigners (without specifying their nationalities) were killed in an Israeli missile attack on the international airport south of Damascus. They were probably members of a pro-Iranian group.
According to Newsru.co.il, SOHR founder and director Osama Suleyman again points out that there is in fact a war between Israel and Iran on Syrian territory. He stresses that Iran is trying to create a springboard on Syrian territory to attack Israel, and therefore the Israelis are attacking targets in Syria. However, he considers the June 10 strike on Damascus airport to be one of the most dangerous Israeli attacks because the "air gate of the country" was taken out of action. In addition, Suleyman states that "Israel crossed all red lines in Russian-Israeli relations" by destroying the runways and the control tower at Damascus airport.
